PerfecTest Registration system
Stevenage Circuits has employed the services of the accomplished PerfecTest Registration system since 2004. The system is a mix of hardware and software that provides the Production Engineers at Stevenage with invaluable data regarding potential inner layer / multilayer drilling registration anomalies, promoting the progressive reduction of errors in production, and in-turn increasing yield and advancing technological capability of the manufacturing cycle.
The PerfecTest system provides extremely detailed reports (see image above) on a comprehensive list of registration issues such as inner layer shrinks, stretches, skews and movement. This information is centrally stored in an SQL database that is easily accessed in the multi-user environment to empower the Production Engineers with the ability to apply proactive corrections to future batches. The corrections can even be made on PCBs that, as yet, have never been manufactured! This is made possible by the construction comparison functionality that the software provides, enabling previous multilayer builds that are similar to provide information that can be used on the new product.
