Posalux & Schmoll drilling systems

In addition to the 3 hi-tech laser drill systems and the Hitachi 4 head mechanical drill machine, Stevenage Circuits also utilises 1 Posalux and 6 Schmoll drill machines. With 8 mechanical drill systems totalling 17 drill heads, and 3 laser drill systems, Stevenage Circuits is unrivalled in its versatility and capability in the field of blind / buried / through hole technologies.

Posalux 6000

The Posalux 6000 (pictured above) has 5 drill heads that enable Stevenage Circuits to mechanically drill down to a minimum diameter of 150um, and controlled-depth drill to an exceptional tolerance of +/- 10um whilst adhering to consistent precision controls. Complimenting the large Posalux 6000 are the Schmoll machines: the US-2600 single head (x 4) and the US-3500 twin head (x 2) machines. These smaller machines are perfect for small quantity batches that still require highly accurate drilling.

Finally, it should also be noted that all mechanical drill systems at Stevenage Circuits are able to run continuosly due to the 24hr shift pattern in operation in the Drilling Department and by the use of the drilling autoloading/unloading equipment.
