The Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, has more than 4,000 years of history and is the longest holiday of the year. In the 21st century, the national holiday begins on the first of the Lunar Calendar and lasts until the 15th of the first month. In 2019, Chinese New Year begins on January 13th and ends February 19th.

Little Year Jan 28th - Feb 4th - Preparation for the new year begins on January 28th, 2019, and lasts until Spring Festival Eve February 4th.
Spring Festival Feb 5th - 12th - Chinese New Year officially begins on February 5th, 2019, and ends on February 12th.
Lantern Festival Feb 12th - 19th - Preparations begin the 12th, and the Lantern Festival is held on February 19th.
